Free Summer Museum Admission for Blue Star Military Families Begins on May 18
Active duty military families, including National Guard and Reserve members, are invited to visit and enjoy free exhibit gallery admission all summer at Superstition Mountain Museum. The offer begins on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 18, 2019, and lasts through Labor Day, Sept. 2, 2019.
The museum is just one of more than 2,000 Blue Star Museums across America, who join together in offering free admission to active duty military personnel and their spouses and children in the summer time. The gesture is a “thank you” to U.S. military personnel and their families for their service and sacrifice.
How many military personnel and/or family members are allowed in for free per visit? The military ID holder plus up to five family members. The military ID holder can either be an active duty service member or other dependent family member with the appropriate ID card. The active duty member does not have to be present for family members to use the program.
Blue Star Museums is a joint project undertaken by the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and museums across America.
