Blue Icon Petroglyph Man - Classes Event Upcoming Classes

Our 2018/2019 season’s class highlights include the ever-popular Flintknapping, Desert Safety, and Dutch Oven Cooking classes; in addition to the Richin’s popular Dutch Oven Cooking Demonstration, this year they will also be offering a Hands-on Dutch Oven Cooking Class. Last year’s Navajo Weaving class by “Arizona Treasure” Navajo weaver and storyteller Nanabah Aragon was so popular we brought her back for three two-day classes this year; she will also be teaching three two-day workshops on Navajo sandpainting. Joining us again this year will be noted author Dennis Ellington with his Plant Talk entitled “What’s Fer Dinner” and his Plant Walk on the Museum grounds where he points out where he identifies several “Wild edible and Medicinal Plants of the Old West”. This year, however, his classes will be FREE with no registration required. As in past years, the Superstition Mountain Master Gardeners will be offering two FREE gardening classes. This year we will also be offering some Art classes / workshops, to be taught by local artists.
