The initial offering in our 2017 Movies at the Museum series featuring Cool Classic Western Movies is the1947 classic Angel and the Badman, starring John Wayne, Gail Russell, and Harry Carey, in which notorious gunman Quirt Evans (Wayne), who is wounded and on the run, arrives at a Quaker farm where he is nursed back to health by a Quaker family, notably Penelope (Russell)
The movie is preceded by an episode of the one-half hour television show The Cisco Kid starring Duncan Renaldo. The Cisco Kid and his sidekick Pancho, played by Leo Carillo, follow in the footsteps of The Lone Ranger by fighting injustice in the Old West.
Movies at the the Museum are free to the public, with donations gratefully accepted, and will be shown in the air-conditioned Elvis Chapel. Refreshments are available in Charlie’s General Store, located in the Apacheland Barn. Visitors are encouraged to come early as seating in the Chapel is limited.
